Change to improve self esteem

Do you believe that you can change to improve your esteem?. Many years ago I found myself questioning if I could change. Even though I tried many times and it was a hard, I finally realized that I didn't believe that I could do it.

When I became aware of this, I decided that even though I didn't believe that I could do it , there was a possibility to make it happen. Being open to this possibility opened my door to start to make small changes for building my self esteem. And also to create more health and happiness.

Even if you doubt that you can change to improve your esteem, always think that there the option to see it as a possibility exist. What about if you could think about the possibility to change?. Once you realize that it is possible, you will not be so hard on yourself and with perseverance you can start taking small steps. By taking this small steps you will notice that you are changing.

The key to improve your self esteem is to become aware of the small changes. Always a great change is made up of small ones. Sometimes we have the tendency to take things for granted and we do not value the small changes that we are experiencing. I would like to share with you a great inspirational saying that I found:

Five Short Chapters on Change

Chapter 1.
I walk down a street and there's a deep hole in the sidewalk. I fall in. It takes forever to get out. It's my fault.

Chapter 2.
I walk down the same street. I fall in the hole again. It still takes a long time to get out. It's not my fault.

Chapter 3.
I walk down the same street. I fall in the hole again. It's becoming a habit. It is my fault. I get out immediately.

Chapter 4.
I walk down the same street and see the deep hole in the sidewalk. I walk around it.

Chapter 5.
I walk down a different street.

To wrap it up: I have learned that in order to change for building my esteem and create a healthy and happy life I not only have to believe that I can do it . I also have to take responsibility for what I am doing. Awareness is the key. Being aware of my daily choices and learning form my mistakes instead of fearing being responsible.
