Change to improve self esteem

Do you believe that you can change to improve your esteem?. Many years ago I found myself trying to change. It was a hard path to follow until I became aware that I didn't believe that I could do it.

When I became aware of this, I decided that even though I didn't believe that I could do it , there was a possibility to make it happen. Being open to this possibility opened my door to start to make small changes to improve my self esteem and create a more healthy and happy life.

Even if you doubt you can change to improve your esteem there is always the option to see it as a possibility. What about thinking on the possibility?. Once you realize that it is possible, then you will not be so hard on yourself and with perseverance you will start taking small steps and notice small changes.

Being aware of the small changes is the key to improve your self esteem. Remember that great changes are made of small ones. Sometimes we have the tendency to take things for granted and we do not value our small changes. I would like to share with you a great inspirational saying that I found:

Five Short Chapters on Change

Chapter 1.
I walk down a street and there's a deep hole in the sidewalk. I fall in. It takes forever to get out. It's my fault.

Chapter 2.
I walk down the same street. I fall in the hole again. It still takes a long time to get out. It's not my fault.

Chapter 3.
I walk down the same street. I fall in the hole again. It's becoming a habit. It is my fault. I get out immediately.

Chapter 4.
I walk down the same street and see the deep hole in the sidewalk. I walk around it.

Chapter 5.
I walk down a different street.

To wrap it up: I have learned that in order to change to improve my self esteem and create a healthy and happy life I not only have to believe that I can do it . I also have to take responsibility for what I am doing. Awareness is the key. Being aware of my daily choices and learning form my mistakes instead of feeling fear is being responsible for my life.
