Self Esteem Real Stories

  1. Confessional: Addiction to a man. Naomi, who is one of those people who in addition to being very talented with a camera. Also throws the most amazing birthday parties for her friends, and is thoughtful and wise and kind and intelligent, left a comment, and then e-mailed me. It made me think and rethink and talk about what she had said in her comment, and also in her thoughtful e-mail. There are always several layers of understanding to unravel.

  2. I am very grateful to be sober today. My name is Val I am 26 years old. I am a very codependent alcoholic and an addict. I have struggled with addiction for the past ten years. Alcohol has always been a part of my life ever since I was little. My mother had a career. She was always too busy to spend quality time with me. When she did not work, she always had better things to do like drinking with her male friends, gambling and whatever else. My parents got a divorce when I was one. I have never seen or talked to my real father to this day. I have some serious abandonement issues. I did not have anyone around to teach me love, caring, and anything else about life in general.

  3. Lifestyles of the Walking Wounded. I never really thought about my life being so great. I would walk around with no reason or story to tell. You could almost say I was lifeless. Maybe I was just happy because I thought that was how everyone was supposed to be. I didn't know what sadness was, until one point in my life where it all came crashing down to my feet. Everything started to go wrong, and for the first time in my life I felt sadness. That day I was introduced to someone I would like to call utter depression.

  4. Restitution. My story today is about claiming the kingdom of God thru what i term "holy spirit esteem".

  5. Everyone really is beautiful on the inside. This isn't any life story that's going to change anybody’s life. It probably won't even end up being that long. I'll just say a few things that I think I need to say.

  6. Self esteem & Exercise. Be courageous, be proud of who you are and don't apologise for it. Try facing a physical fear and feel your comfort zone expand. If there is one thing you could do each day that would improve your relationship with yourself, what would it be? .
